Summary:This case study is of a 63-year-old female patient with entropion and trichiasis in the right eye. This was caused by trachoma, which affects the palpebral conjunctiva tissue. Trichiasis is a condition that occurs when the eyelashes are not in a normal position and are bent, heading towards the ocular surface. This situation generates discomfort in those who suffer from it and is an important cause of inflammation and irritation of the eye. The patient indicates that she feels a foreign body that bothers her, this causes her to rub her eyes and because of this she presents a laceration. We must take into account that trichiasis can cause irreversible damage to the cornea and studies have reported that it can cause blindness. The patient reports that she has ocular discomfort in the right eye, conjunctival redness, constant tearing and in recent weeks difficulty opening the eye.
