Its objectives are: To determine the factors that intervene in the sexual compatibility of the cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) varieties and their effect on bean production by collecting information, descriptive statements and concepts of incompatibilities and sexual compatibility in cocoa can be put together. The morphology of the flower and its deficiencies in pollination are mentioned. Therefore, it is also reported about the inability to fertilize cocoa plantations, which is known as sexual incompatibility; In the same way it has been possible to classify it in incompatibility in reference to the ecological analogies and the cultivation area, dividing itself in self-incompatibility and cross-incompatibility, a contribution is made with bibliographic information of some tasks that can improve this unfavorable condition within of a cocoa plantation. |
