| Sumari: | Introduction: Currently, arterial hypertension (HTA) is a public health problem worldwide, it is compromising for all people, especially for older adults. If you do not maintain frequent control and correct nutrition, hypertension becomes a great threat to health. Objective: To determine the relationship between nursing interventions and the control of hypertension in the older adults of "Puerta Negra" Health Center of Babahoyo canton of Los Ríos Province from October 2018 to April 2019. Methodology: the study was descriptive, field, not experimental, according to time was cross-sectional, we worked with a population of 102 older adults and we obtained data through the sample that was constituted by 68 older adults through a sampling Non-intensional probabilistic, a questionnaire applied to the study subjects was used and the TA was measured three times by the investigators. Results: A higher prevalence of hypertension was obtained in men (55.88%) than in women (44.12% 9), which showed that 67.7% of older adults had no controlled BP and presented figures greater than 140. / 90 mmHg associated with low prevention and health promotion activities by the nursing staff and the various risk factors. Conclusions: The risk factors associated with HBP that were found in these subjects were sedentary lifestyle, high alcohol consumption, tobacco, coffee and salt. |
