Summary:The realization of the present clinical case is of a male patient of 13 years of age, student of the Parroquia de Mata de Cacao (Provincia de los Ríos) who was admitted to the hospital in the emergency area after suffering a fracture of the diaphysis of the radius while doing sport, causing pain and deformity, functional limitation, in addition, the patient was diagnosed with arterial hypertension in the health unit. Vital signs present: respiratory rate: 20 r/m, blood pressure: 144/90 mmHg, temperature: 37.1 °C. Anthropometric assessment is performed: Weight: 98kg, Height: 173cm, Arm circumference: 34cm, BMI. 32 Kg/m2 (Obesity). According to biochemical parameters, triglycerides (160mg/dl) are above normal values. Dietary survey mother reports that the patient consumes meals in excessive portions, manifested the usual consumption of fried foods, excess red meat, sausages, sweets, desserts, colored drinks, consumption of very little vegetables, fruits in inadequate quantities, does not present intolerances no food allergies. He was prescribed a solid hypertensive Dash diet of 1900 kcal divided into 5 times of daily meals, this nutritional intervention aims to provide necessary nutrients through healthy eating to reduce high blood pressure levels in order to avoid health complications.
