| Summary: | The nursing process is a very important help for the nursing staff because it helps us to identify the needs, correct, maintain and rehabilitate the patient using theoretical and practical knowledge to restore the patient's health, this case study was applied in an infant 1 month old diagnosed with acute lymphangitis. Lymphadenitis occurs when the lymph nodes enlarge due to swelling (inflammation), usually in response to bacteria, viruses, or fungi. Enlarged lymph nodes often appear near sites of infection, tumors, or inflammation. Lymphadenitis can occur from a skin infection or another infection caused by bacteria such as strep or staph. Sometimes it is caused by rare infections such as tuberculosis or cat scratch disease. For the nursing staff, it is very important to know the care provided to these patients in order to reduce the number of children with problems. According to the 14 needs of Virginia Henderson, the needs could be identified since this model is the one that best suits pediatric patients; With the help of the NANDA, NIC and NOC taxonomies, it was possible to identify a timely nursing diagnosis and thus create a care plan prioritizing their symptoms. |
