Summary:Early or teenage pregnancy can be the result of a combination of economic, social, cultural and educational factors. Objective: Establish the risk factors associated with pregnancy in adolescents in the gynecology area of the Martín Icaza General Hospital, March-August 2024. Methodology: Inductive-deductive method, non-experimental, descriptive, field and transversal design. A survey aimed at 135 pregnant adolescents and a 16-question questionnaire were used. Results: In biological and psychological factors, age group 17-19 years (48.9%), did not suffer from stress and anxiety (79.3%), depression (95.6%) and low self-esteem (91.1%); in social factors, family support (69.6%), regular knowledge of sexual education (65.1%) and lack of knowledge about contraceptives (74.1%); in economic factors, secondary educational level (49.6%), low economic level (73.3%), economic dependence on parents (61.5%) and were housewives (55.6%). The factors associated with p value <0.005 were age group, low self-esteem, family support, partner support, knowledge about sexual education and contraceptives, educational and economic level. Conclusion: Social and economic factors are mainly associated with teenage pregnancy.
