Se consideró el desarrollo turístico provincial y un punto de paso obligatorio para dirigirse a las diferentes partes del territorio ecuatoriano, además de contar con atractivos que siendo explotados de una manera responsable aportarían positivamente al crecimiento económico del mismo, esto no se ha dado lo cual nos hace darnos cuenta que hay muy poco interés de parte de los actores principales en el medio turístico para ayudar a potenciar el turismo en dicho sector.
