To address this problem, the need to prioritize teaching that encourages critical thinking and the practical application of knowledge was raised. By considering Project-Based Learning (PBL), this methodology allows students to live enjoyable and direct experiences, thus promoting the development of skills that promote critical thinking. The research methodology was descriptive with a non-experimental design in which a qualitative approach was used and the analytical-synthetic method was used. An interview with the teacher, student surveys and observations were implemented to collect the data that allowed us to fulfill the objective of the research, which was to analyze the influence of Project Based Learning (PBL) on the development of critical thinking of 7th grade students. year during the period 2023-2024. The results showed how students' critical thinking can be strengthened through the implementation of Project Based Learning (PBL). It is concluded that this methodology can be a pedagogical tool to enhance critical thinking and the practical application of knowledge in the educational context of the "Juan E. Verdesoto" School of Basic Education.

Verdesoto" enfrenta un desafío en el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico de sus estudiantes de séptimo año, quienes muestran tendencias hacia la memorización en lugar de comprensión y cuestionamiento de conceptos, esta limitación impide la conexión entre diversas áreas del conocimiento y la aplicación efectiva del pensamiento crítico. Para abordar esta problemática, se planteó la necesidad de priorizar una enseñanza que fomente el pensamiento crítico y la aplicación práctica de conocimientos. planteándose el Aprendizaje Basado en Proyecto (ABP), esta metodología permite a los estudiantes vivir experiencias amenas y directas, fomentando así el desarrollo de las habilidades que impulsan el pensamiento crítico. La metodología de la investigación fue descriptiva con un diseño no experimental en el que se empleó un enfoque cualitativo y se utilizó el método analítico-sintético. Se implementó una entrevista a la docente, encuestas a estudiantes y observaciones para recopilar los datos que permitieron cumplir con el objetivo de la investigación que fue analizar la influencia del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyecto (ABP) en el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico de los estudiantes de 7mo año durante el período 2023-2024. Los resultados evidenciaron cómo el pensamiento crítico de los estudiantes puede fortalecerse a través de la implementación del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyecto (ABP). Se concluye que esta metodología puede ser una herramienta pedagógica para potenciar el pensamiento crítico y la aplicación práctica de conocimientos en el contexto educativo de la Escuela de Educación Básica "Juan E.
