Shrnutí:The current clinical case involves a 17-year-old female patient with acute lymphoblastic leukemia who was admitted as an emergency to the Abel Gilbert Pontón Specialty Hospital in Guayaquil, due to presenting a clinical picture of ± 1 month of evolution characterized by generalized pain, nausea leading to to emesis, anemia, abdominal pain and headache. Mother reports having gone to several medical centers where her daughter did not have satisfactory results, and decides to go to this hospital unit with a phenotypic examination that reports leukemia. A cephalocaudal assessment is performed where hepatomegaly plus splenomegaly measuring 3cm outside the costal margin is confirmed in the abdominal area. After assessment by Marjory Gordon's functional patterns, the affected patterns that were compromising the patient's state of health and well-being were identified. Which will be treated by the nursing staff through the Nursing Care Process with the purpose of providing care efficiently using the NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomies as a support tool, during the patient's hospitalization in the area of Internal Medicine I.
