Sumari:This research is based on "Biotechnology alternatives to mitigate climate change in vegetable cultivation." Horticulture is essential for food health and is an important part of people's diets, which is why research is of utmost importance. The objective was to identify biotechnology-based alternatives to minimize the effects of climate change on vegetable production. The development was based on compiling different types of information from books and magazines regarding the biotechnological alternatives used to counteract these effects. The use of modified seeds that can withstand high temperatures and low rainfall are the most mentioned. Good agricultural practices prevail in horticulture. The efficient use of water, crop rotation, and the implementation of organic fertilizers ensure that the planted vegetables develop and reach quality standards for sale Based on the analysis and understanding of the different information, it was possible to reach the conclusion that the effects of climate change are very harmful to horticulture, and that is why alternatives based on biotechnology are being developed to mitigate them little by little and optimize crop yield.
