Análisis en el manejo, producción y su comercialización en el cultivo de arroz (Oryza sativa L.), en Ecuador

This document develops the analysis in the handling, production and its commercialization in the cultivation of rice (Oryza sativa L.), in Ecuador. Rice is one of the main crops on the Ecuadorian coast, which is why the topic is focused on rice as the most consumed product for human consumption. Among the conclusions, it stands out that rice is a cereal with greater food consumption and a generator of jobs, therefore it will always increase its demand; the provinces with the highest production in their order are Guayas, Manabí Los Ríos and El Oro; the adequate technological management of the crop will allow to improve the yields of the farmers in the short and medium term; the rice production process is of few stages; However, in each of its stages it is not a very easy process, therefore it deserves the application of updated technology that allows optimization of work time and a lot of care and control in terms of fertilization times, pests, diseases and weeds with the In order to increase the productivity of the crop and it is important that we organize governmental organizations to help farmers in terms of the commercialization of the product, with the increase and reopening of collection centers, control of industrialization companies so that there are no intermediaries that exploit small and medium-sized companies. farmers, which hurts their income.
