| Gaia: | Nowadays, education faces great challenges such as the unlimited use of didactic resources, generating a demotivation in students, since these techniques play a fundamental role in the process of teaching and learning of students, and for this reason teachers must seek different methodologies in order to arrive with the necessary knowledge. For this reason, the purpose of this case study was to show that didactic resources influence the academic performance of students. For this reason, the following general objective was proposed: to determine the didactic resources that help improve the academic performance of students at the Jorge Icaza Delgado Elementary School in Babahoyo Canton 2023. The type of research was basic, under a qualitative-descriptive approach; for data collection, interview and observation were used as a result of this analysis it can be concluded that the educational establishment has a scarce use of didactic resources, which leads to an unsatisfactory level of academic performance. Concluding that teachers still use traditional methods this means that educational institutions do not apply innovative teaching strategies, which generates that students have difficulties to understand and learn the content, so it must be taken into account that, if new methodological and innovative strategies are used, the students' skills can be developed and the teachers' teaching task can be facilitated. |
