Sotomayor” which statistics shows the 24.701 birth registered in the 2010, 3631 were premature birth (14.7% of the total birth). The objective of this research is “to determinate the contribution of the promotion of the prenatal health program in the reduction of the high incident of the premature children in the hospital gineco obstetric “Enrique C. Sotomayor” of Guayaquil, in the 2010. The prevention which provides knowledge to mothers in gestation process, helps with the diminution of premature birth, and in this way, it will give to the society the improvement of health level to everyone. The principal goal is to create conscience, about the problem of the premature birth in the country. At the same time, promoting the importance of pregnancy control and the direct relation between the complications and the number of weeks without medical attention. Once preformed the camp research, based on surveys , it was able to verified the research hypothesis , which express the promotion of the prenatal health program would promote at the diminution of the high incident of premature children at the hospital gineco obstetric “Enrique C Sotomayor” of Guayaquil in the 2010, which diagnostics is that pregnant women ; adolescents and mothers don´t have the sufficient knowledge an neither realize the controls in an opportune way in order to get a premature pregnant prevention. For this reason, it´s formulated as proposal the massing of the health educational program for the adolescent pregnant girls and mothers of surrounding areas near the hospital gineco obstetric “Enrique C Sotomayor” in order to reduction of the incident of the premature pregnant including the capacitation and counseling of the users with risk potential in the reproductive sexual health matter, its promotion through the missive’s information way, organization of the club for pregnant women, health fairs, pregnant women meeting , educational mural designs. We hope the research results, reduce the percentage of premature birth, reduce teens pregnancy, strengthen the culture´s level and knowledge of women in reproductive sexual health.

We hope the research results, reduce the percentage of premature birth, reduce teens pregnancy, strengthen the culture´s level and knowledge of women in reproductive sexual health.El número de niños prematuros ha llegado a niveles alarmantes en nuestro país, a tal punto que en el año 2008 hubo 206.215 nacimientos en el Ecuador, de los cuales el 13% y 15% (más de 26.000 menores) nacieron prematuros, cifras que son corroboradas en el Hospital Gineco Obstétrico “Enrique C Sotomayor”, cuyas estadísticas demuestran que de los 24.701 partos registrados en el 2010, 3.631 fueron prematuros (14,7% del total de partos). El objetivo de la presente investigación es “determinar cómo contribuye la promoción del programa de salud prenatal en la disminución de la alta incidencia de niños prematuros en el hospital Gineco - obstétrico Enrique C. Sotomayor de Guayaquil, durante el 2010”. La prevención que proporcione conocimientos a madres en proceso de gestación, ayudará a disminuir nacimientos prematuros y de esta manera se dará un aporte a la sociedad mejorando los niveles de salud de todos. Teniendo como meta principal de la temática, crear conciencia acerca del problema del nacimiento prematuro en el país. Así también, promoviendo la importancia del control del embarazo, y la relación directa que existe entre las complicaciones y el número de semanas sin atención médica. Una vez realizada la investigación de campo, con base en encuestas se pudo comprobar la hipótesis de la investigación, la cual manifiesta que la promoción del programa de salud prenatal contribuiría a la disminución de la alta incidencia de niños prematuros en el Hospital Gineco-Obstétrico “Enrique C. Sotomayor” de Guayaquil, durante el 2010, diagnosticándose que las mujeres embarazadas adolescentes y madres añosas, no tienen el conocimiento suficiente, ni se realizan los controles de manera oportuna, para prevenir partos pretérminos. Por este motivo, se plantea como propuesta la masificación del programa educativo de salud prenatal a mujeres embarazadas adolescentes de los colegios y madres añosas de los sectores aledaños al Hospital Gineco-Obstetra Enrique C. Sotomayor para disminuir la incidencia de partos prematuros, que incluya la capacitación y consejería de las usuarias con potencial riesgo en materia de salud sexual y reproductiva, su promoción a través de los medios masivos de información, organización del Club de la Mujer Embarazada, Ferias de la Salud, Encuentros de Mujeres Embarazadas y diseño de murales educativos.
