SUMMARY The present experimental work will be carried out in the lands of the Hacienda "María José" of the DOLE company, located between the Pimocha parish of the Babahoyo Canton, whose coordinates are 110597.97 UTM south latitude and 277438.26 UTM west longitude, at a altitude of 7 msnm. The zone is characterized by having an average temperature of 27.3 ° C, relative humidity of 70.0 and annual precipitation of 1800 mm. The soil is flat topography, loam-silty texture and regular drainage. Eight treatments and three repetitions were studied. The randomized complete block design (BCA) with factorial arrangement A x B was used, where factor A will be the types of sleeves (treated and untreated) and factor B the different densities of (0.4, 0.5 ; 0.6; 0.7) with 3 repetitions. The comparison of treatment averages will be done with the Duncan test at 5 of significance. All the practices that are used in the cultivation of banana bunch, such as bunching of the bunch, protection of the bunch, identification of the bunch, deflowering, surgery, desmane, bow tie and harvest. The parameters were cluster weight, caliber of the middle finger of the second hand (degrees), length of the middle finger of the second hand, evaluation of banana cluster damage, shrinkage (%) and ratio (boxes / bunch). Based on the results, it was determined that the highest cluster weight was obtained using Bifenthrin sheaths, with a density of 0.6; the caliber of the middle finger of the second hand obtained greater degree with covers without Bifentrina in density of 0.4; 0.5 and 0.7 in the first, second and fourth week, while in the third week the use of covers with Bifentrine in density of 0.6 stood out; the use of covers without Bifentrina in density of 0.4; 0.5 and 0.6 showed greater length of the middle finger of the second hand during the first, third and fourth week, while in the second week it was obtained by using covers with Bifenthrin in a density of 0.6; in the evaluations of damage caused by thrips, seamstress and cochinilla, it was recorded that there was greater control using the covers with Bifenthrin in density of 0.6, presented from the first to the fourth week; in the first and second week, the interactions of the covers without Bifentrina in density of 0.4; 0.5 obtained a greater percentage of shrinkage in the first and second week, while in the third and fourth week the use of covers with Bifentrine in density of 0.6 reached a greater percentage of shrinkage; 0.7 and in the variable ratio, no significant differences were detected in their averages, registering an average of 1.5 boxes / cluster in the weekly evaluations.
