总结:Ectopic pregnancy is the emergency that occurs most often during the first trimester of pregnancy. It is difficult to diagnose an ectopic pregnancy based solely on the history and findings of the physical examination in a community setting. Ectopic pregnancy should be ruled out in all sexually active women with abdominal pain and bleeding combined with a positive pregnancy test. Early diagnosis is facilitated using sensitive hormone tests (human chorionic gonadotropin), ultrasound, diagnostic laparoscopy and endometrial curettage. Modern surgical and medical treatments often help preserve the fallopian tubes involved and prevent extensive surgery. Methotrexate is a viable option with an early diagnosis confirmed and a clinically stable condition. The surgical treatment is usually the most frequent (total salpingectomy, adnexectomy, oophorectomy, hysterectomy) or conservative (salpingotomy and partial resection of ovary and horn, among others).
