Evaluación andrológica utilizando dos tipos de diluyentes comerciales en semen porcino en la granja “El Paraíso” en el recinto Aguas Frías del cantón Ventanas.

This research focuses on the evaluation of andrological parameters of porcine genetic material under the influence of the extenders MR - Antiox and Androstar Plus. A three-factor design study was conducted, whose factors are: the two types of commercial extenders, hourly evaluation and porcine genetic lines. The study was carried out at the El Paraíso farm in the Aguas Frías enclosure of the Ventanas canton and at the laboratory of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo, Los Ríos province, Ecuador. Ejaculates were collected from Belgian, Duroc and Duroc breeds with Pietrain. Each ejaculate was divided equally for the corresponding evaluations at five different times. A macroscopic and microscopic study was applied to evaluate the andrological parameters that allow us to determine the vitality of the sperm samples under the use of the two commercial extenders. Statistical analysis performed using Infostat revealed that the type of diluent and storage time can significantly influence the evaluation of microscopic andrological parameters. The diluents tested did not show statistical significance.
