| Zusammenfassung: | Nutritional status is the health and well-being situation that determines nutrition in a person or group, as a result of the relationship between the report and the consumption of energy and nutrients, so that a mandatory nutritional status is registered that requires healthy eating that covers the basic, functional needs in the organism, and must be sufficient, complete and harmonious. The general objective was to establish the relationship between the nutritional status and the academic performance of the 7-year-old children of the Villamarin Ortiz Blanca School, Montalvo October 2019- March 2020. To meet the objective it was necessary to carry out an anthropometric nutritional evaluation, perform the respectful weight and height of schoolchildren to assess them through the use of BMI and their respective growth curve, through quarterly evaluations we analyzed the notes to see their academic performance. The results of the nutritional status were that 42% of schoolchildren exposed underweight, 33% of them indicated normal weight, 17% overweight, and 8% of obesity. While 50% of schoolchildren only reach the required learning, 17% dominates and 33% exceed the required learning. By using the chi-square, the variables are analyzed, and as a result, if there is a relationship between nutritional status and academic performance and the actual chi-square is less than the theoretical chi-square of schoolchildren aged 5 to 7 years of age.
