Resumo:The global agricultural System shows changes both from the supply side and in its product diversification of its demand in relation to consumer requirements, in the Babahoyo Canton there are a series of variables when it comes to marketing products. It is important to mention that the tomato fruit is available all year round the majority of the tomato commercialization process is located in the part of Santa Elena in the Valleys of Riobamba, Azuay, Carchi, and in the Province of Lo Rios – Quevedo. However, doctors certify that tomato is an effective appetite stimulant in both children and adults. Therefore, it is recommended to administer it daily to children who have problems eating due to lack of appetite, since tomato contains iron and vitamin K which helps prevent blood clotting and keeps it in good condition. For the development of this document, bibliographic information was collected from books, websites, magazines, newspapers and scientific articles. Where reference is made to the commercialization of this fruit and how it is the livelihood for many families that cultivate it in obtaining economic resources, due to the consumption that is generated by the benefits that the tomato provides. Adding something else, it is important to mention that in the research it was possible to know the answers to the unknowns that arose where the surveys carried out with the merchants resulted in that the merchants acquire the tomato clearly from the sierra region, also on the frequency in the one that the tomato is sold among other important questions made in the surveys. Last but not least, it is to refer to how the commercialization is in the Babahoyo canton markets such as on May 4, Elías arias and Barrio Lindo, Which we can say that the commercialization is very good in some markets, while in Others are very bad, due to the customer service that merchants have and little variety of their products, but in some stands of the market the customer service was excellent.
