Paciente masculino de 82 años con enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica.

This study is focused on the health status of an 82-year-old male patient who presents a clinical picture characterized by respiratory distress, a progressive decrease in physical activity, and refers to having a persistent cough for 6 days evolution, he undergoes complementary tests and once the results are obtained he is diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This clinical case is based on the recognition that COPD is a very important disease for public health, because it has a high mortality rate, because so far it is the most common pathology in adulthood throughout the world, so it is important to identify the risk of suffering from this disease and what the results would be in a person's life. In this clinical case we have carried out an investigation of the underlying pathology such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and also a study in a clinical case in a patient with said pathology, whose main objective is to determine the clinical manifestations and the appropriate treatment in patients diagnosed with COPD. At the end of this study, it is concluded that smoking control is the fundamental basis for trying to alleviate the patient's symptoms, since active smoking at a very early age is the main risk factor for contracting this pathology.
