Summary:The present study had the purpose of determining the incidence of the methodological considerations of physical education in the motor development of children of 5th and 6th year of basic education of the Isidro Ayora Cueva Educational Unit of the Babahoyo canton, year 2022. A design of descriptive cross-sectional non-experimental research. In the same way, a battery of basic motor skills proposed by González et al. (2021) to evaluate motor development in an intentional non-probabilistic sample of 24 students (12 from 5th grade and 12 from 6th grade), likewise the survey technique was used to measure the degree of satisfaction towards the methodological considerations of the corresponding sample. to establish a relationship between motor development and methodological considerations based on theoretical lines through documentary review. Among the results, the methodological considerations of physical education were determined as an incisive factor on motor development in children through the proposal of a methodological guide applied to physical education to contribute to the improvement of motor development of children of 5th and 6th year. of basic.
