Description
Summary:The present work was carried out in the Health Center, San Camilo, Quevedo, province of Los Ríos, whose main objective was to identify the degree of knowledge that adolescents have about malnutrition in pregnancy. From a social, economic and service issue, qualitative, quantitative and prospective strategies of the total population of Quevedo were used, considering the number of pregnant patients (134) who normally go to the Health Center and a sample of 34 pregnant adolescents, as a data collection technique; A survey aimed at pregnant women and an action plan were developed to arrive at a deeper analysis that indicates the various factors that influence the malnutrition of pregnant adolescents, in order to reduce malnutrition. The results of the study recorded pregnant ages from 15 years of age and that the level of knowledge that pregnant women have about food is limited, in addition to low knowledge about food practices, food supplements that contain folic acid, iron and calcium. For this purpose, an action proposal was made with Nursing interventions through talks, workshops and prenatal control to improve malnutrition in pregnant women and raise awareness among adolescents through the required interventions or controls (more than 5), fulfilling the objective set, improving their knowledge about malnutrition and its causes, so the project proposed to continue these interventions to improve the quality of life of pregnant adolescents.
