Summary:This work was carried out at the Babahoyo Municipal Camal, which is located on Enrique Ponce Avenue in the Los Ríos Province, which has an average temperature of 25.2 ° C, located at 8 masl, whose geographical location it is 46 "South latitude and 97 ° 27" West latitude and an average annual rainfall of 1800 mm. The main objective of this research work was to determine the incidence of hydatid cysts in slaughtered cattle. The methods that were used were inductive - deductive, inductive and the experimental method. The evaluated variables were affected organs, breeds, age and origin of the bovines. Chi square analysis was used with the statistical software InfoStat. The incidence obtained was 1.2% in the liver of bovines, the breed with the highest incidence was mestizo with 6.53%, the age with the highest incidence was cows older than 2 years with a 0.67 % and the origin with the highest incidence was Caluma with 3.88%.
