The Montessori method is a child-centered educational approach that was developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori in the early 20th century. This method is characterized by promoting autonomy, freedom and self-directed learning in children, and is based on the belief that each child is unique and has their own pace of development. In the context of arts education, the Montessori method has a significant impact by providing an enriched and stimulating environment that encourages creativity and artistic expression. The methodology to be used is mixed, it will help us collect quantitative and qualitative information. The explanatory technique will be used as the study technique, and it is intended to address topics such as the teaching process from 0 to 6 years old and multisensory learning. The Montessori method in art education has a wide variety of strategies applied for children with educational needs associated and not associated with disabilities and also for children with emotional problems. |
