Solid waste is a current problem for the inhabitants of the Pompeya site because at the time of making use of the river network, the presence of bad odors is manifested, due to the poor coverage of the waste, which is why flies begin to proliferate on the site. And this represents a great risk to people's health. Through this study, progressive changes in its flora and fauna will be provided, thus improving its current economic activity, taking advantage of its renewable and non-renewable resources in a rational way, thus leaving a legacy for future generations. The survey was the technique applied to obtain the specific results of this project, which were applied to 50 people through the convenience sample. Through the results obtained, it was possible to show that the scarce treatment of solid waste currently affects river tourism, therefore it is recommended that the municipal GAD of the Urdaneta canton take into account the impact of solid waste on tourism activity in the Pompeya River, Urdaneta canton. |

Through the results obtained, it was possible to show that the scarce treatment of solid waste currently affects river tourism, therefore it is recommended that the municipal GAD of the Urdaneta canton take into account the impact of solid waste on tourism activity in the Pompeya River, Urdaneta canton.La presente investigación está orientada a identificar la afectación de los desechos sólidos en la actividad turística en el río Pompeya, ocasionado por la escasa conciencia ambiental y uso inadecuado del recurso natural fluvial con el tema “desechos sólidos y actividad turística fluvial en el río Pompeya, cantón Urdaneta” Los desechos sólidos son una problemática actual para los habitantes del recinto Pompeya porque al momento de hacer uso de la red fluvial se manifiesta la presencia de malos olores, debido a la escasa cobertura de los desechos, por lo que en el sitio comienzan a proliferar moscas y esto representa un gran riesgo para la salud de las personas. Mediante este estudio se proporcionará cambios progresivos en su flora y fauna, de esta manera mejorando su actividad económica actual aprovechando sus recursos renovables y no renovables de modo racional dejando así un legado para las generaciones futuras. La encuesta fue la técnica aplicada para obtener los resultados específicos de este proyecto, las cuales fueron aplicadas a 50 personas mediante la muestra por conveniencia.
