Summary:Pre-eclampsia (O149) is a type of hypertensive disorder that presents from the 20th week of pregnancy or after delivery and can be the cause of numerous maternal deaths. Therefore, the clinical case is presented in a 28-year-old patient with a 35-week pregnancy, which was carried out at the HOSPITAL NICOLAS COTO INFANTE. Detailing in the present case, the handling and methods used, adequately to reach a definitive diagnosis. As it is, maternal-fetal monitoring, control of vital signs, ultrasound, laboratory tests, hospital admission and referral to a more complex unit. Therefore, following the case, we can note the performance and professional ethics, with which this process was carried out following the indications of the clinical practice guidelines as well as the professional experience with the objective of keeping both lives stable and avoiding maternal deaths.
