| Sumari: | VIII. SUMMARY This research was conducted on the grounds of Irrigation System Babahoyo located on Campus "Nicolas Diaz Infantes" at kilometer 10 of the road Babahoyo - Montalvo between geographical coordinates 0o 42 '35 "south latitude and 79' 28 '04" west longitude with an altitude of 8 meters. The place is characterized by a humid tropical climate with average annual temperature of 25.4 oC, average annual rainfall of 2,930 mm and relative humidity of 82%. The soil is alluvial clay loam, flat topography and natural drainage. The aim of this study was to evaluate the agronomic performance of the rice variety Mallares and identify the treatment of higher performance. As genetic material certified seed seeds of Mallares variety of Peruvian origin introduced to our country and domestic varieties Iniap 14, 15 and SFL 09 Iniap applying broadcast seeding and transplanting was used. Divided experimental design with four treatments, two sub-three replications was used; whose average results were compared with Tukey test at 95% probability. The crop was managed with soil preparation, planting, irrigation, weed control, fertilization, plant protection and harvesting. The data evaluated were days to flowering, physiological maturity, number of tillers, panicle number harvest, plant height, panicle length, grains per panicle, panicle sterility, grain length and width, weight of 1000 grains, performance and economic analysis. From the results it was determined that the rice variety Mallares provided good agronomic characteristics in long panicles, grains per panicle, length and width of the grain, while Iniap 14 and Iniap 15 varieties excelled in days to flowering, physiological maturity, number number of tillers and panicles at harvest. The Mallares variety interaccionada with broadcast seeding method obtained the highest 1000 grain weight (26.67 g) and yield (4132.67 kg / ha) and also reported higher net profit in the broadcast seeding method with $ 563,95. |
