The problem of drug use has marked many people of all kinds causing various problems mainly in their health, family, social, environmental, among others. main causes of withdrawal syndrome due to drug use, the type of study is investigative, descriptive, the instrument that was used was based on a series of scientific, technical knowledge aimed at providing health services, focused on the collection of necessary data both subjective and objective, determining the eleven functional patterns of the theorist Marjory Gordon, guided by the knowledge of the nursing theorist Hildegard Peplau who emphasizes the interpersonal relationships of the individual applying the fundamental basic tool Nursing Care Process (PAE) and its five stages: assessment, diagnosis, planning, execution and evaluation, this has as purpose to establish a nursing diagnosis directed to the patient of 27 years of age, male of mixed ethnicity who is hospitalized in the General Hospital Martin Icaza the city of Babahoyo, who manifested Thirteen years ago he was immersed in the world of drugs ", he himself who comes from a socio-cultural / economic level that is low and that when the consumption of substances was suppressed more than five days ago, there were several symptoms of the withdrawal syndrome, as such reason today he is hospitalized with a medical diagnosis of abstinence syndrome at the moment he lives and is in the company of his spouse, in addition a diagnosis of nursing is determined according to the needs of the patient and at the same time causes, factors, complications are defined defining priority activities, of the case in order to meet the objectives set satisfactorily.
