In the present clinical case, it is of a 58-year-old female patient who attended the emergency area of the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital with a clinical picture of 13 days of evolution characteristic of cough accompanied by expectoration with two bloody episodes, malaise general, sporadic emesis; By means of medical tests, he diagnosed type 1 respiratory failure plus atypical community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) due to COVID-19 and severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Through the application of the nursing care process, all the necessary care is provided based on the patient's symptoms and their needs for a considerable improvement of the clinical manifestations. |
