Summary:The present study is in charge of analyzing the administrative management of the Parochial GAD of La Unión, identifying critical challenges that affect its efficiency and transparency, for which the objective was set to determine the management in the institution through the SWOT matrix in order to identify and design improvement strategies, a mixed methodology was used that integrated techniques such as the interview which was directed to the president of the entity, and the survey applied to the inhabitants of the community complemented with documentary review, among the results were highlighted citizen dissatisfaction, opacity in institutional communication, staff and their lack of preparation to face administrative challenges, aggravated by the absence of continuous training plans, structural problems were revealed such as inefficient processes, technological obsolescence and high labor turnover, contrasting with strengths such as staff commitment and prioritization of health, faced with this scenario, it was concluded that the lack of alignment between institutional initiatives and community demands, added to the limited modernization of processes, causes discontent among citizens and hinders sustainable development, for which it was recommended implement clear improvement strategies and develop programs for staff and institutionalize participation mechanisms that actively incorporate the population in decision-making, where these actions, articulated with the adoption of technologies, would streamline procedures, better optimize resources and their performance evaluation systems, benefiting the entity, its administrative management and its community in general.
