Starting from there, a series of alternatives based on strategic communication are proposed, to ensure that the tourist influx to Chigüilpe is greater, based on cultural strengthening and respect.El presente trabajo de investigación es una recopilación de información sobre la historia, cultura, forma de vida, costumbres, tradiciones, artesanías, gastronomía que se pueden disfrutar y conocer a través del turismo sostenible y desarrollo local de la comunidad Chigüilpe, del canto Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, por ello se tomó fuentes bibliográficas que ayudan a sustentar todo la información adquirida, las mismas que sirven el desarrollo del presente trabajo investigativo. Uno de los principales problemas que se encontró durante el análisis situacional realizado a través de la investigación, fue que la falta de apoyo gubernamental, sumado a un desinterés por la preservación cultural entre los ciudadanos ecuatorianos y extranjeros que tampoco disponen de los canales comunicacionales adecuados para conocer de la oferta, han provocado que los emprendimientos turísticos de la comunidad Chigüilpe, no tengan la acogida suficiente.
