The Savings and Credit Cooperatives, symbolize an essential component in the economic development of a country, its social purpose, is to serve the financial needs of its members through the exercise of credit activities to entrepreneurs who require it. The savings and credit cooperative 13 de Abril is a company that economically supports the members of the teaching profession and of the working community, develops its activities in the Cantón Ventanas, Province of Los Ríos, and it represents the place where it was carried out. the development of the present case study, defined with the following topic: CREDIT GRANTING POLICIES TO THE PARTNERS OF THE SAVINGS AND CREDIT COOPERATIVE APRIL 13, which has been determined in the subline of investigation management of the accounting information, since undoubtedly the financial entities that fail to remain in the business world play a very important role due to the inefficient internal control prior to granting credits to their partners. For the optimal progress of this case study, certain parameters of relevance were established since the loan portfolio is considered its main work object, therefore the situational study of the client, possibility of payment, necessary follow-up and final occupation of the credit are measures that the credit and collections department is not considering what causes badly granted credits; due to this, there is a gradual growth of delinquency, overdue portfolio and uncollectible accounts, which make it difficult to comply with its short-term obligations in the established time.
