Resumo:SUMMARY The present work was carried out in the enclosures The Trunks, from the San Juan parish of the Canton Puebloviejo, with the aim of identifying which are the agricultural technologies used to preserve the agrobiodiversity of their crops. In the development of this work it was aimed at the leading farmers of the sector and heads of home, with the help of survey, interview and observation. The crop of greater economic importance are rice, corn and cocoa, the 90 % of the producers use certified seed, in the case of rice sowbario INIAP and SFL varieties, in the corn culture, resort to imported corn hybrids and an INIAP hybrid, in the cocoa the fine variety of scent of aroma little by little is being replaced by clon CCN 51. While 80 % allocate the harvest for sale in local markets, 70 % develop their agricultural activity in a area of less than 5 hectares. To protect their adverse effects crops caused by climate change, farmers have opted for infrastructure such as irrigation system, drainage system, containment walls and water reservoirs. With regard to the conservation of agrobiodiversity them alone they have used in situ conservation, in which it selects the seed, come to drying and disinfection
