Summary:The research focuses on the relationship between the use of electronic devices and the academic performance of students at the "6 de Octubre de Ventanas" Educational Unit. It is recognized that while these devices offer quick access to educational resources, they can also cause distractions and decrease attention in class, affecting the teaching-learning process. A descriptive approach and non-experimental design are used, collecting quantitative and qualitative data through surveys, interviews, and psychometric tests. The use of electronic devices is analyzed in detail, its relationship with academic performance, and strategies are proposed to perfect their use in the educational environment. The results show that most students use cell phones as their main device, dedicating several hours a day to activities related mainly to studies and social networks. Teacher interviews reveal that proper use of these devices can improve student participation and engagement, but it is crucial to set limits to avoid distractions. There was an exploration into the study habits they have. The research highlights the need to find a balance between the productive use and proper management of electronic devices to improve students' academic performance. This study provides a solid basis for addressing the integration of electronic devices in education, recognizing their potential advantages and challenges, and offering practical recommendations to perfect their contribution to the educational process.
