Objective: To determine how the role of nursing and self-care influences the prevention of complications in pregnant adolescents of the type C health center. Cantón Buena fe. First semester 2018. Methodology: The present investigation is of descriptive correlational type, According to the purpose it is not experimental, depending on the place it is of field, According to the temporal dimension it is longitudinal retrospective the method that was used is the Inductive with qualitative modality quantitative Conclusions: the most frequent complications that were found were anemia with 38% and urinary tract infections in 55%; despite the advice of nursing staff the level of self-care of pregnant women in Regular Recommendations: it is recommended to the nursing staff and the health team to work hard on the use of contraceptive methods in educational institutions to try to diminish that the young population of our country have a high incidence of pregnancies that put your life and that of the future baby at risk.
