| Тойм: | The research purpose of this case study was to examine the current advantages, disadvantages and operational costs of solar panels and LED lights as technical and environmental alternatives to reduce energy consumption in industrial canning and preserving processing plants in Ecuador. To do this, a review of the literature was carried out using bibliographic sources such as: books, articles, magazines, free market pages, LED lighting pages, among other sources that helped me better understand the technical, economic and environmental viability of these technologies. renewable from start to finish. This case study obtained positive and negative results, but in reality, it was evident that it obtained more benefits than harm for the different industries in Ecuador. The implementation, acquisition and maintenance of solar panels and LED lights is technically feasible and viable, since it can generate significant savings in long-term operating economic costs. Furthermore, it was proven that these new alternatives tend to significantly reduce the environmental problems associated with conventional or traditional energies; such as carbon emissions associated with the energy consumption of the facilities or areas of the industrial plant, carbon reduction, reduction of mercury (toxic heavy metal), reduction of conventional energies, among other problems that reduce these energy sources. Therefore, the challenges and opportunities of the adoption of these new technologies in the Ecuadorian agroindustrial sector were discussed, resulting in recommendations for their adequate implementation. |
