Tóm tắt: | The research focuses on analyzing the socio-cultural factors affecting compliance with prenatal care among pregnant women attended at the Guanujo Health Center from January to July 2024. This issue is crucial for ensuring proper monitoring during pregnancy to prevent complications and ensure maternal and fetal health. The study is part of the health research lines and aims to identify how cultural beliefs, economic barriers, and educational level influence adherence to prenatal check-ups. A descriptive analysis was conducted with a sample of 94 pregnant women, using surveys to collect information on cultural practices, economic conditions, and educational levels. Results indicate that cultural beliefs, such as the preference for home remedies and consultations with traditional midwives, along with significant economic barriers, negatively impact adherence to prenatal care. Additionally, educational level also plays a significant role in the ability of pregnant women to attend appointments. The research provides valuable information for designing intervention strategies to address these barriers and promote greater adherence to prenatal care, thereby improving maternal and fetal health in the region. |
