Control de inventarios en la Ferretería “Hiper Riego” del cantón Pueblo Viejo de la provincia de Los Ríos en el periodo 2023 – 2024.

This case study on inventory control in the hardware store "Hiper Riego" in Pueblo Viejo, Los Ríos province, for the period 2023 - 2024 aims to provide information on inventory control and use the PEPS (First in, First out) and CPP (Cost weighted average) methods. Generally the entities that are dedicated to the purchase and sale of products have someone destined to fulfill the function of having and carrying an exhaustive control of the inventories and to manage the processes that are required to be done. The company Hiper Riego only has empirical records by hand and in an Excel sheet, i.e. it does not know what is its initial balance of stock for each of the items it sells and does not know what is the actual balance to date, its record only shows the number of units leaving daily, but there is no record of the units entering the business. What does this cause? Well, we run out of stock in a certain product and we can not meet the demand and subsequent loss of customers or have too much product stored causing it to deteriorate or expire and generate losses. Employing either PEPS or CPP method will be beneficial in keeping track of all merchandise entering and leaving the hardware store.
