| Summary: | This research addresses the issue of psychological consequences of the excessive use of social networks in a seventeen-year-old adolescent from the Montalvo canton, because it has been confirmed through research that the majority of adolescents are immersed in social networks, having a negative impact on adolescents managing to interrupt their sleep, abandon their responsibilities, and become dependent due to excessive use of these networks. The main objective of this study was to establish the psychological consequences of excessive use of social networks in an adolescent. The methodology was proposed with a qualitative approach, with a descriptive scope. The development of the theoretical perspective will be based on a review of different bibliographic sources, which will allow us to go deeper into this research. According to the analysis carried out, it is concluded that with the results obtained reliably, anxiety has been immersed in the adolescent, harming their development in the school and family environment, affecting their emotional, psychological and social aspects. Therefore, a therapeutic scheme was implemented with the purpose of projecting the techniques that allowed the adolescent to reduce the symptoms that afflicted his daily life. After this, it was possible to comply and obtain results through the applied techniques, which allowed the adolescent to modify their thoughts and control their emotions. On the other hand, there was also a closer family relationship and better school performance. |
