| Summary: | This research project report is aimed at literacy and its impact on school performance in third-year EGB students at the Dr. Francisco Martinez Aguirre school, in Vinces, in the year 2022, whose main objective is to determine the way in which reading and writing affects school performance in third-year students of EGB, the research project is oriented towards basic research with a qualitative and quantitative approach, adopts a descriptive-explanatory design, intended for the analysis of data from the information units that are complemented by the use of the inductive-deductive, analytical-synthetic method, and as information gathering techniques are the survey technique, supported by the questionnaire as a tool or instrument, the same that is applied to a sample of 42 students from a population of 670 boys and girls, obtaining as results that after applying the test of the a CHI Square, in the literacy variable in relation to school performance the alternative hypothesis is accepted, that is to say that the Literacy variable is significantly related to the variable School Performance, in the Normality test the alternative hypothesis is accepted, that is to say that the research variables do not have a Normal distribution, there is a correlation between literacy with school performance and in the academic development of third-year EGB students, as well as reading comprehension and learning development in students who have reading and writing at a medium level of acceptance. |
