The sowing was carried out with the hybrids DK-7508 and Emblem 777 in plots of 26 m2. The treatments were distributed in a split plot design. For the evaluation of means, the Tukey test at 5% significance was used. As agronomic variables were evaluated: height of plants, height of insertion, length of ears, number of grains, weight of grain, days to flowering, days to harvest, yield per hectare, agronomic efficiency and economic analysis.The results established that the agronomic behavior of the crop is strongly influenced by the application of fertilizers. The hybrids DK-7508 and Emblem 777 fertilized with 138-69-90 kg / ha (9990 kg / ha and 9865.0 kg / ha, respectively) had the highest grain yield. In the interactions, the hybrids DK-7508 and Emblem 777 fertilized with 138-69-90 kg / ha had the best retention rate, superior to the other treatments. It should be noted that the treatment 92-23-30 kg / ha presented the lowest efficiency rate in relation to the control. |

RESUMEN El trabajo se realizó en los terrenos de la comunidad “Carolina 1” de la Cooperativa 9 de octubre, ubicada en el km 9,5 de la vía Babahoyo – Baba de la Provincia de Los Ríos. El objetivo principal fue evaluar efecto de niveles de nitrógeno, fósforo y potasio en la producción de dos híbridos de maíz. La siembra se realizó con los híbridos DK-7508 y Emblema 777 en parcelas de 26 m2. Los tratamientos se distribuyeron en un diseño de parcelas divididas. Para la evaluación de medias se utilizó la prueba de Tukey al 5 % de significancia. Como variables agronómicas se evaluó: altura de plantas, altura de inserción, longitud de mazorcas, numero de granos, peso de grano, días a floración, días a cosecha, rendimiento por hectárea, eficiencia agronómica y análisis económico. Los resultados establecieron que el comportamiento agronómico del cultivo es latamente influencia do por la aplicación de los fertilizantes. Los híbridos DK-7508 y Emblema 777 fertilizados con 138-69-90 kg/ha (9990 kg/ha y 9865,0 kg/ha; respectivamente) presentaron el mayor rendimiento de grano. En las interacciones los híbridos DK-7508 y Emblema 777 fertilizados con 138-69-90 kg/ha tuvieron la mejor tasa de retención, superior a los demás tratamientos. Cabe destacar que el tratamiento 92-23-30 kg/ha presentó la tasa de eficiencia más baja con relación al testigo.
