Presencia de Toxocara canis en perros cachorros atendidos en el Hospital Veterinario Hospivet de la Ciudad de Babahoyo

This study was carried out for two months at the Hospivet de Cdla Veterinary Hospital, in the City of Babahoyo. El Mamey Calle 37 and Av. Tercera. The latitude and longitude of the area are -01°79'95" and -79"52', and the average annual temperature is 26°C. Each puppy's feces are collected, placed in a sterilized container, and labeled with their name, age, breed, and sex. And the same signs were observed in the medical records of patients who presented diseases that correspond to parasitosis. The collected samples were taken to the laboratory for coproparasitological and soil analysis. Photographs of the research work and visual appearance were used to identify the toxocara egg. The results determined that there were 32% positive Toxocara canis infections in dogs treated at the Hospivet Veterinary Hospital in the City of Babahoyo; the female gender received a higher percentage of positive cases with 18%; The mixed breed with Rottweiler had a higher incidence of the disease and the 6-day-old children reported a higher incidence of the disease with 18%.
