The methodology used in this research for data collection is based on qualitative elements; the documentary review technique was applied and instruments such as: the observation sheet, discussion group and interviews with professionals specialized in the fields of film production and investigative journalism were used. Once the case study was concluded, it was possible to determine the contributions of docuseries in investigative journalism. Simultaneously, recommendations were obtained for the development of this type of productions by future communication professionals. |

La importancia de abordar este tema incurre en cómo a través de un formato audiovisual que se ha convertido en un fenómeno debido a su gran auge por su impacto sociocultural se muestra la naturaleza del periodismo investigativo. La metodología utilizada en esta investigación para la recolección de datos está basada en elementos de carácter cualitativo; se aplicó la técnica de revisión documental y empleado instrumentos como: la ficha de observación, grupo de discusión y entrevistas a profesionales especializados en las materias de producción de cine y periodismo investigativo. Una vez concluido el estudio de caso se alcanzó a determinar los aportes de las docuseries en el periodismo investigativo.
