Shrnutí:SUMMARY The Oreganon (Plecthranthus amboinicus) is native to Africa; He has been introduced in many countries around the world. It is a plant that has many forms of utility, it is used as a culinary herb for seasoning various dishes, medicinal herb, ornamental plant and is even useful for its nutritional value. Oregano production is limited in Ecuador for several reasons, one of which is that: collection, use and marketing are not regulated. There are no oregano production statistics, production is perceived as minimal; however, it is grown abundantly on a domestic scale in urban rural populations. The present experimental work was carried out on the grounds of the experimental farm "San Pablo", which is located at km 7.5 of the Babahoyo-Montalvo road. To analyze this crop, two types of substrates and different planting distances were used in organoponic systems. With the objectives of: a) To study the agronomic behavior of the Oreganón, for its propagation. B) Determine the best sowing density to increase the productivity of the Oreganón crop. C) Establish which is the best substrate to produce the oregano. D) Determine the economic efficiency of it. The treatments were: T1 Bocashi, Compost (0.30 x 0.60); T2 Bocashi, Compost (0.35 x 0.75); T3 Bocashi, Compost (0.45 x 0.65); T4 Bocashi, Compost (0.45 x 0.50); T5 Bocashi, Compost (0.50 x 0.20); T6 Bocashi, Compost (0.60 x 0.25); T7 Bocashi, Compost (0.70 x 0.25); T8 Bocashi, Compost (0.80 x 0.30). The characteristics of the experimental lot were: width of the chest of drawers 1.00 m; Height of the chest of drawers 0.20 m; Length of the chest of drawers 1.50 m. Total area of the chest of drawers 1.00 x 0.20 x 1.50 = 0.3 m3. A total of 8 treatments with 3 repetitions. The experimental design used for the development of the experimental work was by randomized complete blocks, with factorial arrangement A x B, with eight treatments and three repetitions. For the evaluation and comparison of the treatments, the Tukey test was performed at 95% significance. The following factors were evaluated: percentage of plant pruning, root length, root biomass, number of shoots, number of leaves, leaf area, leaf area index, yield of green and dry matter, and economic analysis of the treatments. The results gave us to know that the best substrate was the bocashi and the best distancing was (0.50 x 0.20), since its performance was the most favorable average statistically speaking. Keywords: oreganón, bocashi, compost, yield.
