Ambliopía causada por microendotropia en paciente femenina de 8 años de edad.

This clinical case is about an 8 year old infant patient who went to the optometrist's office with her aunt because she presented headaches when performing activities close to her and lack of concentration. Before going to the optometric consultation, the patient and her parents had attended a visual examination campaign in which she was prescribed glasses, the patient's parents discontinued the use of these glasses because the patient had complaints of even more severe headaches and also had some accidents due to lack of vision. Among the results obtained in the study, the patient presented amblyopia manifested by an endotropia in the left eye, where the strabismus was developing at a seasonal age due to problems with the eye muscles. The objective of this research is to demonstrate why the decrease in visual acuity and to decipher the diagnosis and treatment of amblyopia due to strabismus. The methodology applied consisted of a review of the clinical history, family and personal pathological antecedents, AVL, AVSC, AVCC, Hirschberg test, ocular motility, accommodation, which will help us with the definitive diagnosis and thus prescribe the definitive treatment.
