Sažetak:Mild amblyopias that are detected early can be corrected with inexpensive measures avoiding visual disability in children, constituting a serious public health problem in many countries of the world, which prevent the child from developing within society. Objective: To determine the influence of videogames for the treatment of mild amblyopia in children from 5 to 7 years of Barreiro Parish, Babahoyo song, province of Los Ríos, September 2017 to February 2018. Material and Methods: the present the research study is of an observational, descriptive type, where the early detection, correction and treatment possibilities of mild amblyopia were performed objectively. Results: Using the treatment of interactive video games with occlusion of the affected eye prior to the assessment and optometric correction, 85% to 95% of binocular visual recovery was obtained without deterioration of the other visual functions. Conclusions: Visual therapy with interactive video games is efficient in patients with mild amblyopia. Taking into account that the variables with the most significant changes were Visual Acuity from a distance and the improvement of their binocular vision. Both eyes can be affected, being appropriate to visit at least once a year to an optometrist.
