“ESTIMACION DE LA CURVA DE CRECIMIENTO DE BROILERS DE LAS LINEAS (ROSS 308 Y COBB 500) EN CONDICIONES DE TRÓPICO”

SUMMARY In the technical university of Babahoyo, the following experimental work was carried out using the poultry production sheds located at kilometer 7.5 of the Babahoyo-Montalvo road. The genetic material that was used was two hundred broiler chickens of the line (Cobb 500) and two hundred line chickens (Ross 308) sexed. In the stages of the production of the broiler chickens the test was carried out with the duration of 42 consecutive days in both lines with the density of 12 chickens / m2, In the results it was determined that in the females of the line test (Cobb 500 ) presents a similarity to the values of the yield manual in the growth curves taking into account that the start weight is higher than the test weight, in as much as the males also have a weight obtained similar to those suggested by the manual of the line . In the line (Ross 308) the females and the males of the experiment obtained values similar to those reported by the manual of performance objectives, taking into account that the initial weight that we obtained in the trial was also lower and then the birds recovered for be better in the variable weight in the 42 days of aging.
