Тойм:Uterine myoma is a benign tumor made up of connective tissue, and it can be located in or around the uterus, but in extraordinary cases it can spread. It has an incidence in 30% of women, and around 40-50% in women over the age of years, that is, predominantly in women aged 35 to 50 years or more. The causes are unknown, but it is believed that a single smooth muscle-type cell is produced. It is also believed that female hormones such as progesterone, estrogens, and epidermal growth factor would be able to stimulate their growth. Among the clinical manifestations attributed to this pathology is uterine enlargement and distortion, lumbar pain, pelvic or abdominal heaviness, pressure in the intestine or bladder, which causes frequency of urination, menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, intermenstrual bleeding that occurs in the 30-40 % of patients, acute pain can be with torsion or degeneration. Resolution for uterine myoma consists of surgical treatment (hysterectomy or myomectomy) in case of unmanageable symptoms, rapid growth, or uncertain diagnosis. The present clinical case corresponds to a 32-year-old female patient with abdominal pain of three weeks of evolution, vaginal bleeding, due to myomatous uterus, which surgical treatment is decided, said that will allow to establish the needs and / or health problems presented by the patient through the timely recognition of nursing diagnoses and the application of nursing care in an integrated manner, obtaining favorable results that help improve the patient's health.
