Description
Summary:SUMMARY STUDY OF THE TRIPS OF THE RED SPOT (CHAETANAPHOTHRIPS SIGNIPENNISEN) IN THE BANANA CULTIVATION (MUSA AAA) AUTHOR: Chang Cabezas Jordy Michell TUTOR: Ing. Agr. David Mayorga Arias. MSc The work was carried out in the Bananera Milk and Honey with the aim of obtaining knowledge about the damage caused by the red spot in the banana crop and teach which are the phytosanitary controls that must be carried out. Within the general methods that were applied to the study, this research used deductive and inductive methods, because the hypothesis was raised and tested throughout the development of the research in order to reach the conclusions and recommendations of the work. In the interview with the owner of the banana tree it was possible to know that the number of affected clusters are few because their workers are very well advised by Mag and Agrocalidad trainers about this insect that causes the red spot disease, they take the necessary measures to be able to control it, carrying out all phytosanitary practices from hatching to banana selection at the moment they are going to be exported. That is why we must continue with the training to banana workers so they can have updated knowledge about the insect of the red spot, because as time passes the plague can get resistance to some types of controls.
