Methods: field research, descriptive, cross-sectional, a questionnaire was applied to 78 pregnant women. Results: pregnant women are in a couple (free union (51,285), married (16.66%)), rural origin (58.97%), 50% up to three sexual partners, 71.79% have had STIs, 88, 46% do not use condoms, 96.15% do not vaccinate for HPV, 92.30% are never tested for HPV, 20.51% never receive information about sexual protection methods, 65.38% never comment on the consequences of not assuming their own responsibilities, 58.97% never comment with patients the knowledge, understanding, motivation and level of commitment regarding the various methods of sexual protection. Conclusions: worrying that sexual health care is not a topic of interest in pregnant women in the study, mainly with the perception of sexual risks and HPV infection; Other factors related to health education were identified, despite being informed and mostly oriented, a significant number do not receive information on sexual protection, guidance on performing the HPV test and information on transmission infections sexual; Nursing actions are fulfilled in more than 50% of the population served.

Objetivo: determinar las acciones de enfermería en la prevención del virus de papiloma humano en mujeres embarazadas de 20 a 30 años, Hospital Básico Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, Quevedo. Métodos: investigación de campo, descriptiva, transversal, se aplicó un cuestionario a 78 embarazadas. Resultados: embarazadas se encuentran en pareja (unión libre (51,285), casadas (16,66%)), procedencia rural (58,97%), un 50% hasta tres parejas sexuales, 71,79% ha tenido ITS, 88,46% no usa preservativos, 96,15% no vacuna para el VPH, 92,30% nunca se realiza prueba de VPH, el 20,51% nunca recibe información sobre métodos de protección sexual, un 65,38% nunca comenta las consecuencias de no asumir las responsabilidades propias, el 58,97% nunca comenta con los pacientes los conocimientos, la comprensión, la motivación y el nivel de compromiso respecto a los diversos métodos de protección sexual.
