The costs induced by information insecurity are not only direct economic costs, but also affect the company's image. Information security is one of the objectives of an organization, despite this generalized awareness, which does not support many entities with the depth with which they should be treated in this aspect. This document shows a risk analysis of information security of the company "Cerámica y Ferretería Ángel Tapia". Different tools will be used to know the environment of the company and which are the problems presented in the cashier and management departments regarding the loss of information. This was done in order to evaluate the risks of the assets of the company's departments which are: Management, cashier and the process of identification and valuation of hardware and software assets to determine the resources available to the establishment will be carried out. Thanks to the results obtained from the use of analysis tools such as the asset identification table, the asset valuation table and the risk identification table for hardware and software assets, it was possible to identify the respective vulnerabilities such as: configuration errors, lack of maintenance, damage due to overheating or disconnections. And in turn provide optimal solutions such as suggesting security policies and proper maintenance to the hardware and software assets that make up the IT infrastructure, in order to provide an effective solution to prevent the loss of information of the establishment, which can be said that the realization of this case study positively influenced the company "Cerámica y Ferretería Ángel Tapia". |
